When people talk of Spring it’s with either look-at-me or longing for something resembling love, right?

So where the fuck is all this hate coming from?

I kid you not, I was told that a guy that I would have categorized as a friend — a nice guy, not one to talk shit or take sides — straight up said that Theron Humphrey was “pretentious”. How does one stress the importance of something on the internet? Caps? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Are you… I mean… Cool, that’s the epitome of misconstrued hate right there and I could end this all right now but it goes on.

Just the other day I hear about some Rapid girl flying off the deep end, trying to drag a friend down. Look, kiddo, if you’re hating your life so bad maybe you should take a look in the mirror. Here, pin this on your shirt when you do:

But of course, it comes down to me having to take my own advice and let the negativity roll off me because lord know, misery loves company so you go to a room full of people you know you’re bound to run in to the one person who takes full pride in their meanness.

I have stepped foot in to the bar four times since February but I go last night, after a nice dinner at friends’, so we can grab a glass of wine. There are eight, nine people I hadn’t seen in forever so I make the rounds to say hi. Everyone happy save that one person who makes it a point to spit half-truths and smile out the other side of their face to cut you down the minute they see you.

What in your beer, what in your psyche, makes that necessary? I have a new brew for you, it’s called Self Growth. Have a sip.
